Join us Thursday, November 15th at 5:30 pm on F Street, between 6th and 7th Ave in front of Williwaw, to take part in the annual Candlelight Vigil for Homeless Youth.
We come together each year to remember the thousands of youth who have entered the doors of Covenant House Alaska: brave young men and women seeking shelter from the cold dark emptiness of the streets; kids from all walks of life, who have come to us seeking safety, stability and a sense of dignity, all of which have been missing from their lives.
Come hear stories from youth who have been part of Covenant House and to light a candle, showing support and providing hope for those currently seeking a brighter path. Lighting a candle is more than a symbolic gesture. Each vigil participant becomes a voice, an advocate and a friend to our young people. This community brings the light of love and hope into their lives; a light that the darkness of the streets can never extinguish.
Before November 15th, join or share our Community Challenge to support Covenant House Alaska youth. Participate in one, some, or all of our 7 challenges and bring any donated items to our table at Candlelight Vigil.
