Each year, Covenant House Alaska hosts a number of special events designed to raise awareness and generate support for our programs and services. Our annual special events include:
Passage House Luncheon. Held each May, this special luncheon benefits Passage House <link to Passage House page>, our transitional living program for pregnant and parenting teen moms. Learn more about the Passage House Luncheon.
Don Fridley Memorial Golf Tournament. The Anchorage Lions Club has sponsored this annual golf tournament to benefit Covenant House Alaska programs since 1987. Learn more about the Don Fridley Memorial Golf Tournament.
Candlelight Vigil. Each November, in honor of National Homeless Youth Awareness Month, local community leaders, concerned citizens and Covenant House Alaska clients gather to raise awareness of homelessness with a candlelight vigil downtown Anchorage. Learn more about the Candlelight Vigil.
Sleep Out: Young Professionals Edition. Join your peers for this inaugural sleep out. It’s a chance for young professionals in Anchorage to take an active part in a national movement to end youth homelessness in this country, while raising money that will go directly to getting kids off the streets. Fire & Ice Ball. This elite gathering, held on the third Saturday in January, is our major annual fundraising event. Learn more about the Fire & Ice Ball.
